Keerthy did her schooling in Chennai, Tamil Nadu upto grade 4th (fourth) & shifted to Thiruvananthapuram and continued her schooling from Kendriya Vidyalaya, Pattom, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Later, she returned back to Chennai and joined Pearl Academy to pursue her career in Fashion Design. She also got herself enrolled in an exchange program in Scotland for four months & completed a two-month internship in London.

She always wanted to make a serious career in Fashion Designing, before becoming a successful actress. Apart from being a successful actress and a qualified Fashion Designer, she is a very good violin player. She also had a passion for swimming since her early childhood and had won many awards in swimming during her schooling days.

Keerthy started her acting career as a Child Actor in the year 2000 with a Malayalam film named Pilots, which was produced by her mother Menaka & directed by Rajiv Anchal. In this movie, Keerthy was seen as a church kid. Later in the year 2001, she was seen again as a Child Actor in the Malayalam movie Achaneyanenikkishtam where she played the role of Kunjunni’s classmate and the film was once again produced by her mother Menaka. Her next film as a Child Actor was a Malayalam language comedy-drama film directed by Sundar Das named Kuberan, which was also produced by her mother Menaka. In the movie, she played the role of Siddharth’s adopted child.

In the year 2013, Keerthy made her debut in the lead role in the Malayalam-language horror film directed by Priyadarshan named Geethaanjali. The film was released on November 14th, 2013. The film had Mohanlal, Nishan, Keerthy Suresh & Siddique as the lead cast.

She made her Tamil Film Industry debut with the Tamil-language romantic comedy film named Idhu Enna Maayam. The film had Vikram Prabhu & Keerthy Suresh in the lead role. Idhu Enna Maayam was written and directed by A.L. Vijay & produced by R. Sarathkumar, Raadhika & Listin Stephen. This film was released on July 31st, 2015.

In the year 2016, Keerthy had to face the outburst of Actor Vikram’s fans after the news spread about her, declining to act alongside Vikram in his new film ‘Garuda’. Later on the director of the film, Thiru, said that Keerthi was never approached for the role, instead, it is was Kajal Aggarwal who was paired alongside Vikram in the film. Things got settled after director Thiru’s statement.
