Urvashi Rautela Pageantry career
Urvashi got into limelight when she was just 15 years old. She had participated in the Wills lifestyle India Fashion Week. She was the show stopper as a teen model at the prestigious “Lakme Fashion Week” and walked the ramp at “Amazon Fashion Week”, “Bombay Fashion Week” and “Dubai Fashion Week”. In the year 2009, she won the title of “Miss Teen India”.
In the year 2011, Urvashi won various titles like “Miss Tourism World 2011”; “Indian Princess 2011”; “Miss Asian Supermodel 2011”; “Miss Tourism Queen of the Year 2011” – a beauty pageant which was held in China and here, she got the honour to became the first Indian woman to win the pageant in this category. It is also said that she was offered the lead role in the year 2012’s super-hit Hindi film “Ishaqzaade”, but she turned the offer down as she wanted to focus on the Miss Universe pageant.
In the year 2012, Urvashi won the title of “I AM She – Miss Universe India” beauty pageant and also the special award for “Miss Photogenic”. She had to leave the title crown & was disqualified from the Miss India competition in the year 2012 due to the controversy regarding her age as she was underage at that time. Later in the year 2015, she once again participated in the beauty pageant competition and won the title.
