As she was spotted by the prominent Bengali Film Director Raj Chakraborty while contesting the P.C. Chandra Goldlites Diva beauty contest, she was offered a role in his movie named “Parbona Ami Chartey Tokey”. This movie was an Indian Bengali language romantic comedy film which was written by N.K. Salil & directed by Raj Chakraborty himself. The movie was produced by Srikant Mohta & Mahendra Soni. The music of the film was composed by Indradeep Dasgupta.

The film was released under the Surinder Films & Shree Venkatesh Films banner on September 11th, 2015. In this debut movie, Koushani was casted as Aparna Roy a.k.a. Apu opposite Bonny Sengupta; who was casted as Shibnath a.k.a. Shibu.
